Gray-green leaves, slightly cupped. Give good drainage. Do not shear into hedge, but can prune branches back hard. Garden Notes: Shearing reduces blooms of Leucophyllums. Sky blue, morning bloom. Vase shaped. cut back old growth in early spring. After 3 to 4 years plants die out, but reseeds for new plants. Garden Notes: Plan on having this plant around for three to four years. It eventually dies out but you should be able to see new plants coming on from seedlings; sometimes in surrounding grass which are harder to remove. It has bright blue blooms every morning in spring for several weeks.
