Panhandle native. Unbranched stem to 24". Red bloom with yellow rays. Puffy ball as seed head dries. Garden Notes: This is another tough panhandle native. It is not particularly showy at any time, but is nice addition to the drier areas of your yard. No additional water is needed once established. It will produce volunteers here and there. No maintenance is required. may want to shear to ground in spring.
