Welcome to canyonsedgeplants.com. This is a fun new venture.
I feel like I will be able to get information to you in a more current fashion. For those of you on my mailing list, I am later getting my plant list to you this year. I am sorry about that.

I am putting together an email database. If you would like to switch from the postal mailing to email simply contact me with your name, postal address, and email address and I will switch you.
If you are new to the mailing, an email address and your name will do. You might include another way to contact you in case your email changes and I cannot get it through to you in the future.
Please contact neal@midplains.coop and put “email list” in the subject line.
I will not sell or give your information to anyone else.

I have put the plant list in as an Excel spreadsheet. You will be able to manipulate it as you like. (sort, delete, add your own notes, etc).
Be looking for other spreadsheets highlighting native plants, butterfly plants, deer resistant plants, etc.

I have been growing as “green” as possible since starting this venture. I have found it saves money and I don’t have to worry about being in a greenhouse for hours on end that I have treated to kill pests.

I have released Lady Beatles and other beneficials have found there way in.

Covering the plants at night and a fairly mild late winter has allowed me to not turn on the heaters this year.

Stop by Amarillo Botanical Gardens at 1400 Street Drive in the Harrington Medical Center Complex just down from the Don Harrington Discovery Center and see the changes that are going on there. There are several updates and redesigns to gardens in process.
If you haven’t seen the Mary E. Bivens Tropical Conservatory you are missing a tropical paradise in Amarillo.
